If you’d like to grab a quick lunch near the conference building go to Food Market (about 10 minutes walking).

The meals are quite big and rather cheap. The place is a self-serve buffet which looks more like a school cafeteria but can seat many people and the food is good.

Address: ul. Wróblewskiego 16
Opening hours: Mon-Fri: 10am – 8pm; Sat-Sun: 11am – 8pm

There are small restaurants (Chinese, pizza etc.) on Politechniki street which are popular among the Lodz University of Technology students. All within walking distance from the conference building (5 minutes).

If you like a bigger selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes go to the famous Piotrkowska street. Some places we’d recommend are:

Manekin – A very popular place in Łódź serving a large variety of sweet and savoury pancakes.
Address: ul. 6 sierpnia 1 (just off of Piotrkowska)
Opening hours: 10am – 11pm

Cafe Kofeina – delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches and ice-cream
Address: ul. Piotrkowska102
Opening hours: 10am – 11pm

Pizzeria Toscania – They have an opinion of being one of the best pizza places in Łódź.
Address: ul. Piotrkowska102 (courtyard)
Opening hours: open late on weekends

Foto Cafe – A small pub with photo gallery
Address: ul. Piotrkowska102 (courtyard)

If you are not from Łódź, make sure you visit Manufaktura, one of the most beautiful malls in Poland with a huge selection of shops, restaurants, pubs as well as entertainment places (cinema, bowling alleys, arcade, gym etc.). The mall is popular for its square which makes the place unique.
Address: ul. Karskiego 5

If you feel like taking a break from the conference noise in quiet natural surroundings go to the beautiful Park im. Władysława Reymonta. The Central Museum of Textiles is located right next to the park (walking distance – about 20 minutes)
Address: ul. Piotrkowska 282
